Thanks. Assume you meant "between sessions."
Thought along same line: may / may not be a bit over the top for SSC, but many types of prgms where users are constantly switching settings back & forth, allow saving custom settings under one or more named profiles.
Then often have a button to reset (on a prgm like this) drawing & font settings back to default. For SSC, resetting to default should probably only affect settings changed from editor UI (colors, line thickness, arrow properties, etc).
NOT change prefs that were changed by accessing Edit > Preferences (like default path to save files, default format, etc.). Though some changes made from main UI, may show up under preferences screen (most DON'T), I'd think only the common drawing / object properties (e.g., arrow, ellipse, text box, etc.) would be reset, if had a button like "Reset Editor Drawing / Text Properties," or similar. W/ a tooltip stating general type of properties that would be reset .
Having a profile(s) w/ saved settings to create projects for more "Professional" and another for "Funny," etc., would allow users to change all desired drawing / object properties for a desired look or purpose, in one click - instead of many, many clicks - as I find myself doing a lot.
Depending on what the shot is, who I'm sending it to (friend, Insurance Co.), I often want completely different settings. If only adding 1 text box or 1 arrow, no big deal. For more complicated, multi object editing, changing all desired properties takes a bit of time. Changing even 75% of settings for all common objects takes a lot of clicks; then to different settings for another project &....
Just a thought.
