The last activity of Skrommel is on 5 July 2011. Is Skrommel still among us?

Would lead me to think...no...Hopefully he is still alive...but I don't think he's on DC anymore...I could be wrong...

Needless to say, this doesn't answer your question...I just don't like seeing posts with no replies.  ;D

Probably like me, don't really have enough time to read the forums.  I may go away like the dinosaurs before too long....

seems like I inquired about him way back when.  Was told more or less if memory serves me correctly that he didn't have time anymore.  I don't remember if there was a job change or what.

I am sure Mouser could enlighten us... inquiring minds want to know!

Skrommel is a very unique and mysterious individual.. if you'll remember he rarely socialized here -- he was a coding machine and a very impressive fellow.  The last we heard from him he had embarked on a large project building a house.

I think for someone like skrommel, the proper thing is to always keep an extra tea cup in the cupboard and be ready to pour him a cup for when he decides to stop in again, and not ask for much more than that.

Skrommel is a whole lot like Clippy. He pops up unexpectedly, when he thinks you need help. And while Clippy may not pop up in the most recent version of MS Word, he's not gone for good. You might see him pop up to help, again. So I am pretty sure the DC version (Skrommel) will pop up, too.

This thread is the indirect consequence of a little personal desire.
I'd want to beg some improvements about PlainPaste, a program by Skrommel. I already sent a message in his forum, but without an answer.
Now I wonder if it would be possible to change that program without being unfair to his author, considering that he's absent. (I think no, it's not possible...)

I think there are some of his scripts that have been changed by others, here on the forum, of course crediting him as the original developer. He did release the source to all his ahk scripts so you can modify them to suit your needs. I don't think he would mind if another member did the changes you want. Post it as a coding snack.
