I just looked at their screenshots in the press kit of their client- it appears to be a custom web browser wrapped around the GG site?!?

the service touted as VOID (a bad pun?) seems to be some kind game-rental service financed by ads.

Everyone who is using VOID will get one slot for free. In the slot you can put the game you want to play by choosing it in the list of about 100 different titles. This game will close lock down the slot for 14 days so during that time you can only play the game of your choice. After 14 days you can pick another game and then the slot will be closed for antoher 14 days and so on.
