The Humble Indie Bundle #3
« on: July 26, 2011, 01:01 PM »
Hi
The Humble Indie Bundle #3 Pay what you want

All of the games work great on Mac, Windows, and Linux. The Humble Indie Bundle 3 includes Crayon Physics Deluxe, Cogs, VVVVVV (now with a level editor and a new level by Minecraft creator Notch), Hammerfight, and And Yet It Moves. When you buy these games, they are yours.DRM Free.you'll be able to pay whatever amount you like for the bundle, and you'll be able to specify how much of that payment goes to the EFF, Child's Play, the developers, or Wolfire itself (to offset the costs of hosting the Bundle).

Awesome deal! Try putting in less than 1 dollar as the purchase amount. I gave extra just because of this after seeing it mentioned on the IRC Channel.

Hi
The Humble Indie Bundle #3 Pay what you want

Got. I'm on their mailing list since the first bundle. Excellent value, and this bunch is -- in my HUMBLE opinion  :) -- the best yet!

Hi,

even if i'm not a hardcore gamer at all i grabbed that.

A) because some of the games are very different and i like them (e.g. the gear game :) )
B) because i love such generous offers (pay what you think its worth) and want to motivate others to see that this concept will work and maybe get a lot more of such offers in the future.

Thanks for the notice!

Greetings
JoTo

I bought this bundle simply because I love the concept too. I already own two of the games and probably won't play more than one of the others. But the idea, execution and team behind it are simply amazing. The charities they're donating to are also a few of the only charities I've ever actually thought of as interesting.

Warning to linux users: I bought this pack and three of the five games won't work (out of the box) on my 64-bit distro.  Crayon Physics especially is encumbered with out-of-date 32-bit-only libraries. I've seen posts by people who got these to work, but it seems to involve a bit of work, and possibly replacing video drivers with 32-bit versions.

They may still release 64-bit builds for some of these, so I'd check before buying if you intend to only use linux 64-bit. The sale is open for several more days still.

"VVVVV" and "And Yet It Moves" worked fine for me but I was really after Crayon Physics and Hammerfight when I payed.

Nice! I'm going to give that a shot - it reminds me Raptor which was an awesome game back in the day.

Raptor is available on Gog.com too... for only 5.99.  Just an FYI.

Haven't played any of the games yet but this is a nice gesture!

Note if you use Steam or Desura Cortex Commender isn't available so you have to download and install it manually.

Wow! I already own quite a few of the games, but now that Humble Indie Bundle 2 is included too, I just can't resist!

And besides I am doing good things for charity ;)

I bought the HIB #3 the first day it was announced and I'm still waiting for HIB #1 to be added to the list.

The folks running the Humble Indie Bundle are so awesome I seriously believe it will happen. :-*
