How would people react to being Rickrolled by a freeware telephone support phone number? i.e. 985-655-2500

Good? Bad?

I'm thinking of doing that... But just asking to find out opinions.

I would imagine it depends on the mood of the caller. Most people would see the funny side surely?

But you're gonna get a couple of angry emails too. You know how worked-up some folks get when their free software isn't perfect  :P

I guess it depends what the software does, and why I'm calling. E.g. : lost my data and want to know if it's recoverable VS I like the tray icon and want to know who designed it. I'd be angry in the first case, maybe, and laughing in the second.

Angry 'cause I've never understood neither RickRoll nor screamers types of jokes. It may be fun once but not whole time and not when you really need a help.

You mean you'd keep phoning it over and over?  ;)

putting it on a help line is a recipe for anger imho.
most of us might find it funny, but those who need help won't.

Nope. Internet is enough.

But it reminded me an old, communistic joke:
