I had seen that

I suspect in the jobs scenario Duke would have visit an app store every time he needed a new gun or some ammo (cos clearly the guns would only use apple munitions...)

I recently bought Duke Nukem 3D from GOG, (then they had for 50% off - typical), it brought back a lot of good memories.  The two dimensional graphics are still a good laugh  ;D

lets hope the gearbox release lives up to the hype (if that's even possible)
