I saw several LAN IM tools over the years, but nothing looking as good. I wonder if anyone on DC uses it?

I'll have a look at this - if it's good, it could be the perfect solution for my part-time workplace, instead of having to up and down stairs or using phones...

Why is the Blog section reporting this tread was started on Jan 19 2007:

the blog date and thread date are independent.  blog date just reports when a thread was blogged.  usuaully a thread will be blogged within minutes or days if its good.  in this case someone asked me about such lan tools and i found this old post on the forum that was worth blogging i thought.

Cool: I used it on the University LAN where I worked a couple of years ago. My thinking was it was better take the chat load off the email system and use a chat tool.

Not flawless, but pretty neat.
