I've written about Freeware World Team before.

They just underwent a name change to "Primewares" -- probably because it's shorter and easier to type.  They still focus on discovering and listing freeware, with an international focus.

Few sites are as dedicated to discovering new small freeware releases as this site.. They may not have the fanciest write-ups or the best looking layout, but the people involved are devoted to finding and listing new free software every day.  Few sites if any are as consistently good at it as they are, year after year, and they remain a daily read for me.

Do they have an RSS feed?  I didn't see any sign of one.

More likely because some business finally succeded in getting a trademark on the term "freeware." (kidding, just kidding...)

Freeware has become one of the most abused designations out there. I've even seen it used on products were "free to download" but required a purchased product key before they could even be installed.

"And so it goes," as Vonnegut so aptly said.

whoops!  i thought they changed from "freeware" to "primewares".  But upon closer inspection, I guess it was "freeware world team".  Yeah, that's not funny at all.  This is the problem with text communication.

They need to get rid of the annoying announcement pop-up that has been there for a LONG time.  :P

+1. Terrific site.

Slightly marred by a very minimal implementation for their RSS feed. Just software product names? Not even a a line or two of additional info?

Fortunately, that doesn't detract at all from the full site's usefulness. A quick scan shows they have some finds you won't see elsewhere.

I'm adding them to my Visit Weekly list.

Agreed, thanks for the site recommendation.  I just bookmarked it and added the URL to my Google custom search engine for freeware.

a really nice feature is easily missed:
click 'your' flag and get (some of) the text in your language!
