Impulse is selling Space Rangers 2 for 1.99$ dollars just for today, it's an incredible bargain for an awesome game (or so i have heard so go.

I've tried space rangers 2 on a number of occasions and I vouch for this. 2 dollars for a game with such incredible depth really is a bargain. It is a very niche game however so if you don't like adventure game bits and small pieces of simplified rts gameplay then I would avoid it. It also has a bit of a learning curve before you can enjoy the game.

Only to install and activate them AFAIK. After that, you can launch the game as any other application in Windows, you don't need to have Impulse running.

Yup... it was for December 12, 2009... Impulse is having a lot of one day sales leading up to Christmas- but you have to have Impulse installed to hear about them.  The deal of the day is BF2 Complete Collection for 25% off.  I've seen better deals, but still pretty good on a solid online shooter.
