About Windows 7 and hotkey
« on: November 07, 2009, 02:45 AM »
hi,

FARR is really a great software :)

My favorite hotkey is Win + Space,
but in Windows 7 this hotkey is used by the shell to preview desktop :(

How could I take it back, please ?
Thank you.

I'd love to find a way to do this as well. For me the "Desktop Peek" function is useless and ctrl-space is used in a game that I play.

The only solutions that I could find that might work (haven't tried either) were to disable all the win+ hotkeys or to use AutoHotKey to clear the win+space hotkey.

Would it be possible to allow FARR to hijack or override an already taken hotkey?

I know this post is old.. but has anyone figured out a way to disable or change the built-in windows hotkeys for these things?

You could always use autohotkey :)
You can set up FARR to start at Pause hotkey and then use AHK to map win+space to pause

#Space::Send {Pause}
