Alt+P hotkey broken?
« on: March 10, 2009, 09:16 PM »
Probably my bad, but the Alt+P hotkey for the options dialog seems to have broken recently. Can someone else see if it's working for you? I'm now on FARR 2.49.01

sorry to interrupt...

@mouser, since you are currently working on FARR, could you please make those hotkeys optionals ?

for medium to fast typists, those hotkeys are triggered when using ctrl+space or alt+space (to trigger FARR)

i had to disable them using autohotkey...
LAlt & o::
return
LAlt & p::
return
...

I disabled them via the Hotkeys section of FARR's Options dialog -- does that not work for you?

Or may be I am not understanding something here...

i think he is saying the new alt/ctrl+P functionality that works from within the edit box can be accidentally triggered if you pull up farr with something like Ctrl+space and then start typing a word that begins with P, for example.  am i right?

Alt+O is fine (even more intuitive than Alt+P). FWIW it doesn't beep for me, which is fine too!
Put it in the change log and consider the issue resolved.

Also FWIW Ctrl+P brings up the context menu for the first item in the list, which I think is a new feature.
