I found a C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\nzoysne8.default\extensions\extensionlistdumper(at)sogame.cat.xpi file, but no folder with relevant name, so I can't go any further that route than -default\extensions. So what goes for Win 10, it seems Extension List Dumper really has been dumped...

A lot of people can remember that Jesus' friend Lazarus was raised from the dead. A few people are also aware that he later on was murdered, and this time stayed dead. I tell this because on Win 10 Lazarus: Form Recovery has been murdered and is dead! Now, will Lazarus stay dead, or Recover?

I assumed it was for Firefox 39 on Windows 10, so I was already hugging and kissing everybody  :-*
But then I tested it, and it was useless (on my Win 10+Firefox)!  :(

Oh, how I STILL miss this wonderful program.

The current problems with >Google versus WinPrivacy< made me go searching for VTzilla. It was a little hard to find at first, because I knew the name "VirusTotal" but forgot the abbreviation "VT", so I kept imagining the word "virus" being part of the file name. I repeatedly found some Italian VirusTotal extensions, but not the right one. The right one, (if you're not Italian), is VTzilla, now "signed": https://addons.mozil...refox/addon/vtzilla/

^^ Yes, OneTab would be brilliant for this and other browsing information capture purposes. I have been trialing it for a couple of weeks, and it's very nifty.   :Thmbsup:

It also minimises memory usage and noticeably speeds up one's browsing in Firefox.

I agree.  I like how it adds the scan button to the download/open dialog.  Sometimes it takes an extra click to get it to download after a scan but I can live with that.   :Thmbsup:

Making use of OneTab.
The uses/functionality of this Add-on are described in the notes on the OneTab Add-on page. However, some further potential use might not be so obvious.
Two examples of how to make use of that further potential:
  • You need to have the Scrapbook Add-on installed.
  • You need to have the Quickfox Addon installed.
  • You need to have Firefox Sync running to sync bookmarks at least.

1. Scrapbook:
You can save a OneTab page as-is at any point in time to a Scrapbook folder.

2. QuickFox:
Look to the upper RHS of a OneTab page, and you will see a link to Export / Import URLs. Clicking on that link opens up a new Tab that shows two sub-panes, "Import URLs", and "Export URLs".
Select all the text within the "Export URLs", right click it, and send it as a New Note in Quickfox. That saves it as a new note in your bookmarks (it's not a bookmark though, but just a note). Sync will then sync that note so that you or anyone else  (can be shared with a collaborative group) who has access to your Synced items account can open that note in QuickFox in Firefox.
(The notes on the OneTab Add-on page indicate that this kind of functionality may eventually be built-in to OneTab.)

Other examples: If you had these Add-ons/applications installed, you could also select all the text within the "Export URLs", right click it, and send/copy it:
  • as copied text to CHS (Clipboard Help & Spell).    :Thmbsup:

huh, it seems onetab won't work for me no way no how (FF40.0.2 portable).

it seems to install ok, but no controls or menus are exposed so if it is there I can't interact with it.

Tried disabling ALL addins, changing to the default appearance, etc, and no go  :(

sure would like to recover some resources...

Doesn't show up in Pale Moon either but it does in Cyberfox Portable 40.0.2.

...To fix the issue, do the following (please note once again that this will work in all versions of Firefox until Firefox 42 is released. When that release hits, only Dev and Nightly versions support the switch).

    Load about:config in Firefox's address bar and hit enter.
    Confirm you will be careful if a warning message is displayed.
    Search for xpinstall.signatures.required.
    Double-click on the preference name so that its value is set to false.

You may install unsigned extensions again in Firefox once you have set the preference to false, a restart of the browser is not necessary. ...

seems like that addin might be a bit flakey (then again, FF might be being over zealous)

given the increasingly unstable nature of firefox it's looking like I'm going to have to change browsers.  trouble is, FF is the only one that seems to match some significant parts of my work flow  :mad:

Don't think that's going to help, Pale Moon doesn't care whether it's signed or unsigned, (OneTab is signed btw), it most likely doesn't work because PM doesn't use the Australis interface.

EDIT: Sorry, you were responding to @Target I just realised.

ok, I already had that setting in config, and I installed the tester tools app - net result was nil

To add insult to injury, I just installed FF 40.0.2 as a test and OneTab installed fine :)

trying it now - interesting experience actually.  Tried 2 separate downloads from sourceforge on 2 different machines and while they 'installed' they wouldn't run.  After a bit of hunting around sourced from the cyberfox site and it's running (with onetab installed!!).  Time will tell if it's any better than native FF I suppose

so this is getting bizarre - been running cyberfox today with onetab and noscript only.  Onetab was there this morning but has since vanished.  It's still installed, but no functionality is exposed.  wtf?

Just had a look at mine, (only use Cyberfox as a test browser), and it's also gone since it was there yesterday.  Tried disabling/enabling which opened the OneTab page but still doesn't bring up the icon in the toolbar.  Uninstalled/reinstalled, deleted localstore.rdf ... it just doesn't want to come back.

Addendum: After all the screwing around yesterday trying to get the icon back, today it decided to reappear ... it's obviously got some sort of moon-phase algorithm in it  :-\

So downloaded CF again and have installed just OneTab, opened/closed the browser a few times, moved the icon to the menu and back a few times, it's still there ... probably won't be tomorrow though.

One of the comments regarding this add-on:
*the lack of active updates resulted in the addon's eventual incompatibility with FF40.0.2; the icon disappeared from my toolbar and reinstalling 40 caused all my settings and tabs (thankfully there was only one) to be lost

If you have Extension List Dumper installed correctly, and are using Win10, then you will have a file named ELDumperOutput.js somewhere on your disk storage.
Just search for that filename in whatever file search system you use (I use Everything, having previously used Locator) and edit it as described. It worked straight off on my Win10 setup on 2 separate laptops.
