« on: November 06, 2005, 04:23 PM »
the discocunt link for thebat! that i posted in members only section has a [ and ] in the url, and it's driving the forum's bbcode parser nuts.  anyone know how i could make a url link using bbcode with the [ and ] in it?

Supposedly, this is supposed to work.

[[[[[[[[[[[[[]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]

Just enclose the whole section in CODE and /CODE commands.

carol's solution is what i needed since it was characters in a hyperlink url, and so enclosing it in a code block would have disabled the url from working.

And by mistake, I found the cool HTML to BBCode Converter. It works quite simple: you paste in your HTML code, then select which particular BBCode flavor you want to convert to, then click "convert". Your HTML code will be replaced with the corresponding BBCode.  :)

The interface is a little akward, but it works. *I* would have put numbers on in, in a step-by-step fashion, and used different forms for input and result. But it works anyway, so I hope it will be of good use.  :)

Thank you Jeff Baker.
