You could also try Redemption http://www.dimastr.com/redemption/ which is something i used a while back and seemed to worked well.

Just came back from a 2 weeks break and slowly going through all my "new" emails... 320.

On the bright side, running DcUpdater, I noticed several fun software updates.
But with QuickOutlookTask (in DcUpdater) the updating process seems to "freeze" at the end of the download, giving me and endless "retrieving update"... . Anybody else having this problem?
(I did slightly modify the QuickOutlookTask.alias file in the QuickOutlookTask folder... could this be the culprit?)

Welcome back Armando. Speaking for myself, I don't recognize this, and have not heard others complain about this. If you just download and extract the zip file by hand, do you still have problems?

Thank you Vinayak! It is nice to see that even more than a year after the last post some people are still discovering this utility. I myself still use it all the time as well.
As to your question, I don't think that that message box can be turned off, sorry. I hope this doesn't turn you off.

I use it too, everyday since I first installed it! Very convenient, especially with my AutoHotkey auto-complete strings providing a nice template that I just need to fill. Outlook tasks are then synced with toodledo (todo web service) with a handy little syncing app (Toodledo Outlook Sync). Not perfect... but almost !

Vinayak : I just dismiss all the message boxes at once when I'm finished entering all needed tasks. I got used to it... (I actually find it useful to see confirmations that all went well...)

You know that most confirmations can in fact be turned off? Use "do /settings" and uncheck "Confirmation Dialogs".

Hi Walbert! Sorry, I missed your post, so I'm late in responding.

Well ,come to think of it, I don't think it's possible to create dateless tasks with this utility. This must change! I'll dig up the source code and make this possible. When it's done, I'll report back here.

Here is a version of do.exe that will take /nodate or /nd as a switch to create a task with no start and due dates.

- There seems to be an issue with the category-flag: it creates the item with an additional '/category'-category.

About the signing issue, I run XP and there I just need to tell the system once to not show this dialog box. I assume you use Windows 7, I don't know (yet) how things work there. You can't suppress this?

About the category flag thing, I can't reproduce this. If I do "do test /cat testcat" it all works as expected. Can you elaborate?

I'm sorry about the signing - I don't really know what to do about this, this is the first time I heard this complaint.

Category: do test /cat "test cat" /nd created a task with (new) category "test cat".
do test /cat test cat /nd created a task with (new) categories test and cat.

In other words, I cannot reproduce your category problem either. But I don't want any dissatisfied users. Any suggestions?

This is because the @ serves as a GTD-style category switch (undocumented), but I am not handling this well, as I can see now (a very quick-n-dirty addition) - I'll fix that, but am very busy at the moment. I myself have a category @WaitingFor (no space) and use it like this: do test @WaitingFor. I'll fix this, but dont know when.
