excellent work mouser.

appears to work very well on my machine.

i've got two of them running at the moment so that two separate areas are excluded. this makes me wonder if you could incorporate this kind of feature into the options of just one 'desktopcoral' - multi box/border selections?

anyway, great work and it's certainly long overdue for this kind of util to appear.

will you be keeping the program quite minimal in features mouser (menu seems a bit bare)?

just as a quick extra...

whilst dropping some files/folders/shortcuts into the 'desktopcoral' area i noticed that the 'barred' sign appears - fair enough, this is logical for how the util works.

but, how about adding the feature so that you could drop files or whatever onto a certain area of the 'desktopcoral' and then a particular task would be carried out?

maybe a recycle bin area or automatically copy file to preset folder area. things that are done on a regular basis.

also, is it possible to allow for the desktop icons to be placed underneath the marked area?

i meant to mention this:
if you set opacity to 0, so that its completely invisible,
then you dont see that "barred" sign
and you can treat it like a purely reserved area of normal desktop.

i will look into making multiple areas without having to run sep copy.

i may make a application launch-like tool at some point so those ideas about drag and drop  could be useful for that.

sounds good.

just wondering mouser...

... have you told anyone over at samurize.com that you've made 'desktopcoral'?

im hoping that ozzy, who requested this app,  will test it and if he finds it does what he wanted may explain to other samurize users what it does and why it works well with samurize.  i've learned the hard way that going to someone else's forum and trying to say how you made a good program is often considered spam advertising and does not go over well, even if you mean it to.

btw desktopcoral now has its own mini section like all the other apps, so we should probably move this discussion over to there.

yep, move away...

well, if ozzy doesn't mention it then i think i'll have to.

i'm sure they would really like to know about it over there.

i should probably make it a public download before it's mentioned, otherwise they will be frustrated not being able to try it.

so i'm going to just make desktop coral downloadable by public now.

Just to be on the safe side, YES, I have it installed, YES I have become a member, and finaly YES I will come with lots of feedback on this tool.

But I am caught up at work today and tomorrow, but Saturday is my computerday at home (My girlfriend will be working;) so I look forward to check it out real good.

I think its really cool of Mouser to make this program (and all the rest he has), and has donated (not much, but it was what i had this time;)

Keep it up, Mouser!

btw: first bug was found by my gf today. The prafs-window displays the wron opac-setting when reopening it, resulting that it isnt opac when you press "ok".
