I'll give it a shot considering I removed that Dr. Watson POS. ;)

Since it's Vista, it's probably your video card drivers.

General Software Discussion / Re: Wallpaper Manager?
« on: December 16, 2007, 02:20 AM »
I've seen lots of wallpaper changers. Some are great, some are complete excrement.

Here are 3 that I find very good.

Clint's Wallpaper Master (has a cool cropping and backdrop feature *Requires .NET)

Wallpaper Master (I use the Pro version)

Yep, ClipX is sweet! Also, it runs from a flash drive quite nicely. Someone just needs to make a plugin do you can choose a capture sound. I have it mapped to my right mouse X button using X-Mouse Button Control (another VERY handy program).

Yes, you're right. Terrible web design.

60
Mine crashes too...it's an extension conflict as my portable version never crashes.

I've tried this before just for kicks. If my recycle bin was a toilet, it would have been spinning around leaving skid marks all over the place before finally going down.

Living Room / Western Themed Arcade Game...What Is It???
« on: December 10, 2007, 06:39 PM »
I can't think of it. There's a part when you are riding a horse alongside a train.

It is not Gun Smoke.
0001.png

It is not Sunset Riders.
0002.png

It is not a light-gun game.

Any ideas?

67
Did you try this one, Nighted?

Yes, it's very good. You can basically do the same thing with many others though (Fast Explorer, SpiritPyre Extension Pack, SOCKShell, etc.).

68
Best external HD enclosure I've seen in ages...sexy and smart!

It might not have an e-sata port, but more than makes up for that in style, features, and overall possible storage capacity. Vantec makes a very solid product. I have 2 EZ-Swap cages and bays and the build quality is outstanding. I'll be grabbing one of these for only 70 bucks.

General Software Discussion / Re: Are you testing XP SP3 RC ??
« on: December 03, 2007, 10:39 PM »
No real problems so far. The only time I've crashed explorer is when running wonky programs. Nothing unusual there. The crashes I'm not getting, as in those caused from mysterious memory issues seem to not be appearing. As I posted over on the nLite forums, I think I'll be sticking with SP3 from this RC until the final.

Nothing has exploded so far....nor have I smashed anything in days. ;)

72
Crashy, crashy...COMPUTER SMASHY!!!!!

Why thank you Curt.  :)

Now to answer my own question....Instant ThumbView Free Edition, on an Ass-O-Meter of 1 to 10 gets an 11!!! Way to go exlax!!!!

I couldn't even get it to work. Besides, it doesn't even support PNG. Lame....

I'm neither surprised or disappointed. I just had to check it out as I knew what to expect beforehand. ;)

So, is it any good? Or is it as lame as the shareware version?
