If you are a student you can get a huge reduction by buying the Academic version (identical except that they don't include the stock art samples - no great loss). If you aren't a student enrol in a part time course at your local college (how about a photoshop course;) and then you can buy it at student price).

There isn't any limit on how many hours you have to study (or the level you study at) the only condition is that it must be an accredited education establishment.

Go to www.adobe.com and click on the store link. On the right hand side of the store should be a link to "Education Store" - it varies from country to country (as do the prices).

Actually I tried ordering from the adobe online store but my order did not go through cos of my country or something. Contacted Adobe about it and they took about 2 months to reply and said something like if the order form works, it works, if not, click here to find stores in your country that sell it... doh!

The Singapore Adobe webshop is at https://store2.adobe...tore=OLS-AP&nr=0

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be an Education link - as on the UK and US site.

Probably the best way to proceed is to ask a friend (if you have one) in the US to buy it for you and give them the money. It would almost certainly be cheaper that way too (anywhere outside the US seems to have prices hiked up to much higher levels - even at education prices).

Adobe does not take orders from Singapore. Your best bet is to buy from a physical store, e.g. Challenger or some other shops in Funan. Prices, are cheaper then US when I bought Adobe Photoshop Element.

If you really wants to make the purchase online, may be you can contact http://www.softwareexchange.com.sg/ .

How about ebay -
I know, there's lots of junk out there - Adobe creative suite for 20$ etc.
But I think it's pretty obvious from the price whats "authentic" & what's not.
-
then again maybe I'd be the first to be burned...

Adobe does not take orders from Singapore.

Yes it does - the link I gave goes directly to the Singapore shop ... don't know if they sell academic versions there though.

If you don't get Singapore in your shop list click "Other Shops" at the bottom and it gives a fullscreen list of all Adobe online stores.

Strange - maybe it was just a glitch. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies before you try again - I find some webshops have strange behaviour and it seems to be down to cache/cookie problems (DigtalRiver is on that always gives me problems - but not any of their subsidiaries such as element5. If I want to buy a product and the DigitalRiver shopfront is used I have use a different computer otherwise the last step fails every time ... and this problem has survived multiple reinstalls and even multiple machines. I do keep a number of cookies permanently on my system, amazon etc., and they are the only things that I can put down the problem to).

Same  thing happened to me. I think I will get it on eBay instead. I am using photoshop 6.0 right now!
