Open Source?
« on: July 29, 2025, 10:18 AM »
@Mouser, would you ever consider releasing the source for FARR?  I've been using it for 15 years but am nervous about it's continued existence and bug fixes.  For example, I'd happily patch the changing monitors crashing bug https://www.donation...ex.php?topic=53791.0

I'd also like to add an in memory cache plus integrate search everything as the backend for FARR.  I've got that working mostly as a plugin, but I want to combine plugin and history results together.

I have exactly the same question and concerns. While I'm not currently using FindAndRunRobot, I love this software and would like it to be preserved and maintained.

I believe he's already chimed in on this on a few occasions and has said that he isn't open sourcing any of his applications. That might have changed, but just wanted to let you know that he's answered no before.

Ah got it, thanks, thats good to know.  bah.
I'd really love to have my two year old bug fixed - https://www.donation...ex.php?topic=53791.0
And I've got a plugin that uses everything as the back end for FARR, but I can't integrate FARR's history and the plugin search results right now :/
