I do keep taking the tablets... but Wacom makes me give 'em back   :o

But you licked the batteries from all those pens first didn't you?   ;)

Yeah, but I could afford to, they don't charge much.

They'd taste better if you'd season em first. You up for a little salt & battery?  ;)

Too many people playing! (*me-too mentality kicks in*)

Sorry about the lighting, putting on the room lights or using the flash was resulting in some serious glare crapification & it's too overcast outside (love it!) to get decent natural lighting.

Cheats used: I try and keep things organized so the desktop really is that clear at most times, I just removed a couple of seriously embarrassing books (Access '97, DOS 6.22  ;D) from the shelf, stuff long overdue - thank you, DC... inspirational as usual.  :)

Points of interest: There's a coffee mug in there somewhere that betrays my (caffeine) addiction, Goomba guarding my DVD spools.

I'd love to show people my 'high on grass' calendar but it's out of view.  :P

While that's a joule of a thought I have some resistance to it, watt I have is amp-le for my current meals at ohm.

[Edit:  Just to keep within screaming distance of the topic, I do eat at my desk from time to time.
Sorry folks, back to the thread...]

According to Mac the Scottish engineer chicken in the movie Chicken Run, it's lack of THRUST  :)

You can go direct here: http://www.aardman.c...cast/mac_img/Mac.mov

I love that film - one of my favourites (OK so I'm a big kid). I love the fact that the cast is so brilliant and you can see the actors character in the animations. Tim Spall as one of the rats (Nick) is hilarious! See http://www.aardman.c...st/rats_img/Rats.mov

Sorry. Looks like I'm guilty of starting it back on page 5.
My apologies to the thread.

Wasn't trying to offend. :(

Lots of crap... and this is on a good day.  I know some of you cleaned up before taking your pictures.  There is no way that many geeks are that clean.

I didn't clean up, mines for real!  :) I'm a neat freak.. ;D

I was sitting around commiserating with a few of my local tech chums about how dull and boring my desktop was (2 monitors, 1 laptop, vanilla desk w/kbd shelf, etc.). After about the third drink, one of the women present mentioned the following link.

"If you really want to feel bad about your workspace, go check out some of these setups," she said.

I did.

And now I really do.

Here's my physical desk top. It's a mess and seems especially cluttered with my bowl of cereal and two mugs on it all at once.

I've just bought a new mouse and keyboard so I had to re-jig the desk. The keyboard layout is Colemak (I'm 2 days into my cold turkey)

Monitors are now at a better height. But I need to build some shelves for storage to de-clutter the desks.

The box of unused wires/cables makes it look worse  ;)

I've heard of disconnecting from the network but it seems you've taken a global view on that  :)

Thread undead!

A couple of these would be nice on the desktop. Just saw them favourably reviewed.

NEC MultiSync PA301W

30-inch LCD @ 2560×1600.
Holds and switches between multiple profiles; web, print, photo, video etc.
Onboard KVM and USB hub.

> US$2k
> US$2.5k with a calibration system included.

And, while we're here, any recent members want to post images of their desktops?  Feel free, the more the merrier!

In the spirit of reviving this thread, here's my current work desktop (my home desktop is really only my laptop in the table next to my bed :P ):

I have a new desk arriving soon, and it will take about 10 hrs of work to put it together. And I am going to have to dismantle and dispose of the old desk.

When all that is complete and I have everything all set up, new pics will be uploaded.  :D

Vitalis, jgpaiva?

When I was a kid, Vitalis was a very popular men's hair tonic (my grandfather used it).
