Idea: change desktop background picture like a slide show.

Something to change the desktop background like a slide show at timed intervals to a picture from a folder(of users choice) so the desktop picture will always be changing to a different picture.

the main purpose of the program is to change the wallpaper at a user 'specific' time, i.e. 9.03am on the 2nd of november 2007, and not to simply change images a timed intervals, i.e. every 30 minutes. this is what sets it appart from the majority of other wallpaper managers.

edit: forgot to mention that jibz was also involved in the creation of 'temporalityscreens'.

which reminds me - i promised i was going to make a wallpaper set for this little program. which was over a year ago now. i shall put it back onto my 'current' list of things to do.

The Panorama 32 looks very good thanks but i have another question do you know of any that will manage dual monitors? Anyone out there know of any? Can this be done in AutoHotkey?

There are some very beautiful dual monitor wallpapers around, that you use just like a normal one (bigger size just for dual monitors).

You don't need any special software to use ones like these:

I'm sorry what I meant was 2 different pictures for dual displays that can change the pictures on both monitors at user set intervals.

I have found these 2:

Wallpaper Master - the Pro version isn't free ($18), but that's the one that supports dual monitor.

Ultramon ($39.95) - lots of multi-monitor tools. There are wallpaper related scripts available for it.

Sorry to bump the old thread. I found John's background switcher interesting application that fetches feeds and also changes wallpapers from the HD folders.
