yeah,
it's not clear whether that means: copies of the additional anti-virus offer, or products sold [& then the 40% ends?].

They do clearly say:
Until Sunday, we give you a 40% discount on all products
so,
apart from the vagueness of 'until Sunday', it sound like it should be 40% off until then.

I visited their website and placed an item in their cart, and no discount was applied.

Is there a code to use?

when I go there, the discount is already applied on the main shop page (linked above):

is that not the case for you?

For some reason, now the discounts are showing. Before they weren't.

Thanks!

you also get access to one year free antivirus updates for Emsisoft Anti-Malware.

Every good offer has a scar, I guess.

1487 copies are still available...

Limited copies of a file?

Softmaker started informing me of their recent discounts a couple of days ago. Germans...  :D
Too bad I already got the Standard Edition.

I notice that sometimes offers from softmaker seem to have **hard-coded discount links, for use only by the email receiptient [**if that is the proper term].
In that, no specific discount code is mentioned, yet the link they send their subscribers of their newsletter takes me directly to the discount offer.
[this happened to me a few times with the Abbyy Finereader program, when it was offered in softmaker newsletter emails,  several times in 2016 for just $39.95.
There was no obvious "Discount Code" embedded in the link they sent, so it was most likely obfuscated somehow in the sales link.].

Does anyone have any "personal reviews" or even just general opinions. , regarding this latest version of the softmaker office 2018 product?

I use tons of different softwares, several from Bitsdujour offerings, but with MS office and any other non-MS offices versions, I probably use only 5% of what it is capable of.
I still have several  MS HUP licenses, I had gottern thru my work employer, so I have not yet updated any of my pcs yo Softmaker's to their 2018 option

Just curious.

One big benefit of the new version is that it's much more Microsoft friendly, regarding file types.
Other than that, I have not yet used it to create, only to read.

And >>Ribbons or menus - It's your decision!
With SoftMaker Office 2018, you can switch at any time between modern ribbons and the classic user interface with menus.<<

You mean in that it now uses MS Office file types by default?

@disenchanted, I haven't upgraded, but will at some stage. The advantage to me is continued support and improvement. They have implemented a few requests, and made a few bug-fixes over the years for me (via forum).

The one big change seem to be the ribbons. Not worth it for me.
