Description
Tiny, tray-based utility that gives you a completely configurable menu for quick access to:

• Shutdown
• Restart
• Switch user
• Log off
• Lock
• Sleep
• Hibernate
• Start screensaver
• Turn monitor off
• Switch default printer

I use Microsoft’s Remote Desktop (RDP) a lot for the various computers and VMs that I deal with. RDP works great but has one drawback and that is, for whatever reason Microsoft has, the normal shutdown and reboot commands are missing from the Start Menu when you’re working on a computer remotely. Yes, you can use the shutdown command via the commandline or you can click the taskbar and press Alt-F4, etc, but not everybody is comfortable using the commandline or remembers that hotkey. Hence, this simple utility.

Usage
Installation
Download the zip file and extract its contents into a new folder.  Run sTray.exe to start the application and right-click the tray icon to see the menu.  Under the Options menu, you can have it add a shortcut to your startup folder.

Uninstallation
Exit the application and delete the folder you unzipped it to.  The application doesn't write any of its settings to the registry.

Can the available options be made configurable?
I don't want the Shutdown, Sleep and Hibernate options available for systems that are actually located in a hosting farm, as I can't walk over there to press a button, or click a VMWare option, to get them going again after I 'accidentally' use any of those options

I believe because print service (spoolsv.exe) is stopped here, so in such case this program is unusable.
Can it be fixed?

I tried to add sTray to the Context Menu but that didn't work for me.

sTray goes directly to the system tray 

Could you please add an option to launch sTray Menu directly from the Context Menu.

That's how sTray is designed to work.

I'm not quite sure what you mean.  By context menu, did you mean the menu you get when you right-click a file?  If so, again, that's not how sTray is designed to work.  sTray is designed to run in your system tray.

NANY 2016 Release: sTrayJust updated to 1.0.0.3 and now I'm getting the (as above) error message about printers - see screenshot. Where can I find v. 1.0.0.0 ?

This error should have been fixed in v1.0.2.  Have you tried that version?

Nice work! I've been using a similar app called PowerClick for years on Win7, but it doesn't work properly on Win10, so I was very glad to find a replacement in sTray.

Your app has better customization but there's a feature of PowerClick that I miss - you can use your wheel-button to click on the tray icon as a shortcut action to do any one of its functions, like Sleep or Shutdown. Since it's almost impossible to click the wheel-button by accident, this is a handy feature that's quite safe. So please consider this feature request! There's also a tiniest issue that I want to report: when you hover on the tray icon, the popup note says "Default printer: OneNote" which seems unnecessary!
