LogMeIn purchases LastPass

I have mixed feelings.  I like LogMeIn as a company.  I use Join.Me and Cubby, and have for a while, even though there were other alternatives (and cheaper alternatives) because of their reliability.  (If you want to try, PM me your e-mail and I'll send an invite- a lot less intrusive than the links, I think).  I started with Xmarks, which was saved by LastPass, which got me involved with LastPass, and they've been very reliable.  So it seems like a win-win.

But then you wonder what they offer each other, and how they will change...

Well, I guess the name works... After all, one of the nice things about the LastPass extension is that it will simply "log me in" to websites I visit. :D

Same here. I was on Xmarks and then tried LastPass, and it is very good, though it doesn't work on IE11 now (keeps crashing IE in Win10) and of course it doesn't work at all for MS Edge.
I hope this is a win-win. If being bought up by LogMeIn turned out to be similar to being touched by the dead hand of acquisition of Google or Microsoft though, it would be a great pity.
(I'm watching Wunderlist with interest...)

According to the comments on Hacker News, I seem to be the only one who left LastPass before this acquisition. I'm such a hipster.

But Xmarks is still great (because there is no alternative with Firefox synchronisation).

I've been using LastPass premium since August. Love it!
