convert wordpress site to an app, seamless connection.
« on: January 08, 2015, 12:28 PM »
I wanted to try this experiment...take an existing wordpress site and package it as an app.  And from there, the app and site are synced.  There is this program:
http://reactor.apppresser.com/

Seems to do it for a couple hundred bucks.  Any other recommendations?

It's a complicated sounding concept. How does the app on your phone know to pull updates and properly integrate the data?

I think html5 has helped stuff like this be easier.  It seems the app somehow packages all the structure and dependencies of the wordpress site into whatever is needed to make a standalone app.  It makes sense to me.  A lot of apps I've seen function almost exactly like a mobile version of websites, that's what got me thinking about it.
