Screen Shot Capture quality
« on: December 31, 2014, 09:17 PM »
Hi!

I recently downloaded the Screenshot Captor.
For some reason, the screenshot taken (for example: a pdf page) is not as clear as the original file. It is as though the pixels / resolution have been reduced (for example: the letters are slightly blurry whereas the original document is extra clear). Is there a way to fix this??

Thank you ! :)

Screenshot Captor always captures exactly what you see on screen. It sounds like its just zoomed out (or in).
On the top right you can set the zoom to 100% which will be exactly what you saw on screen.

Oh.. it's just that I tried using the Grab Tool (equivalent of Screenshot Captor on Mac's) and the letters that I screenshot-ed were extra clear, even when I zoom in at 200%. I pasted it on Word as an image and the letters screenshot-ed were just as clear as the ones that I typed...

Thank you for replying!! :)

You can choose the algorithm that screenshot captor uses to smooth images when it enlarges or shrinks, so that may yield a more pleasant result.  Just remember that no matter what it looks like while zoomed, the actual image in screenshot captor is always stored as an exact copy of what was captured -- we are only talking about the temporary display when zoomed.
