Veteran's Day
« on: November 11, 2014, 05:24 PM »
I just wanted to take a minute to thank all those who served - and are serving - wherever they may be.

Although I sometimes disagree with, or am sceptical of  the reasons given for deploying military personnel, I nevertheless have a good deal of admiration for those who act on their beliefs and are willing to put their lives on the line for others.

So once again ladies and gentlemen, I thank you.

There are lots of military veterans on this board.  A big thank you to all of them -- but especially those who sacrificed and served in unpleasant or scary circumstances.

Yeah, thank you, even when govt services go down. After varying brief intervals of dismay at having wasted X hours prepping something, the thanks are far more important. At least for me, it's not like it was 1-day or bust ... there's always a bunch of other days.
