GO AWAY!!....  :D

It already has what you are asking for... at least the most current version does v1.0.1.9.

1. On the history/settings window there is a toggle for copying to clipboard or not.
2. If you right click on the select area you will get a Copy to Clipboard menu item.
3. Once you have your annotated image you can open the history window and drag/drop the image onto that window and it will upload to imm.io.

Might want to read the help/website next time. LOL http://icup.pen.io/

Heh no fair! I read almost all the thread, this stuff wasn't in there! And I missed the announcement for 1-0-1-9! I am about 3 versions back!

So let's see!

"Version   1.0.1.8 beta "

No Fair teasing about un-posted new versions!

:P

I guess I should add a "Check for new version" feature. :-)

Hmm. 1.0.10.0 or such, seems to be crashing on me!

In general I see some new options, but it all crashes on me before I can test them!

I also don't see clearly the toggle between upload/don't upload and it crashed before I could test whether the captured image stayed on the clipboard.

Can you give me more info on the crash? Error/line number or screen shot (ironic eh?)

Does it crash right when you start it?

There's no message at all. About the 2nd or 3rd capture it just freezes. And only 1/2 to 3/4 of the time - sometimes I get lucky. It's really tricky! : (

Partial clue - it might (or might not) have something to do with holding the tab open with the first capture, rather than closing the browser. But that's far from clear!

Though this part is funny! "or screen shot (ironic eh?)"  :D

Well, without an error message or anything not sure what I can do. I'll take a look and see if I can find anything. I did make a small fix to the update system, you can give that a try.

Does anyone else have the freezing issue?

FWIW, version 1.0.1.10 works fine for me.  I was able to perform everything you described here.  I did five test captures in a row without issue.

Heh well that's a little weird.

This version seems to behave a little better.

I'll be around if the glitch pops up again!

I have updated ICUP to 1.0.1.12- I added the option to auto-save the image if the upload fails. Imm.io has been down for the past few days and I needed a way to quickly keep my screen shots.

Forgive me for "not looking", but does it auto-save even if you select a button/toggle to turn off all uploading? I've been idly looking for something that can do rapid fire screenshots and saves all in one step when they don't need to go into a Sticky.

Some thoughts:

- I'm also getting Runtime error 2 at line 891 intermittently but it's a bit tricky to reproduce. I got a whole bunch at once and then it went away a little.

- Hmm. The auto saves seem to be going to:
C:\Documents and Settings\user.NONE-79DB031E3D\Application Data\ICUP\Auto-Saves
Feels a little obscure but I can live with a shortcut for now and just pull them out. (I just found Open Autosave Folder).

- "View Last Image" isn't showing the autosaved images. Maybe all that's from the tight integration into the image site that is down.

- Corner case: It doesn't seem to capture the images from the nany "overlay tool". Not that big of a deal, but that tool is useful to quickly produce "annotated" pictures aka the (something) overlain with the annotations / image mod etc.

- "Right click on a item in the history box and you can copy the URL, copy image to clipboard" -- even legit captures aren't going into my history for further editing.

The history only saves upload URLs.... I can may it store saves/auto-saves also.... I am going to make it so you can choose the auto-save location, just have not got to that yet.

I'll take a look to see if I can pin down the error.

Thanks!

Yep! The big missing item I can't get to work is to save the actual screenshot right into the clipboard (as well as on disk in the autosave!). Then I'd go back to the history and "right click to copy the URL" afterwards.

So you would like it to auto-save to the disk as well as copy to the clipboard?

Yep! The big use case is to be able to drill (and save) a bunch of fast screen shots in a selectable folder, and each time it copies to the clipboard, where the best ones go into a Sticky. If I needed to upload them and get the URL that's much more rare for me. If I needed that step I'd go select that in the options and stuff.

This is crazy but IMM.IO has been down for weeks. I do hope they get back up and running again but if they do not I am afraid that ICUP will be down also.... well I guess I can just take out the upload part, but that was why I mainly wrote the app. Everything breaking down around me, story of my life....

IMM.IO is down for good. I'm going to have to revisit my app and remove that bit...very sad.... It may take me a while as I am moving and still have a lot of packing planning. :-)

Oh! This program looks so good, exactly what I needed as a replacement of Zizorz. But the upload site has been discontinued. Do you think it would be possible to make the program upload to a different site? That would be so great! Or maybe even depend on Dropbox, if that makes it more stable?

I do plan on updating this to either use a different site or just make it a plain screen cap program. Not sure yet.

Ok cool! If you manage to update it to use a different site, do let us know! I've been waiting for a proper replacement for Zizors for so long...
