No offense to anyone, I am hardly an expert at anything myself.

But really, why is their and there, your and you're so difficult?

I know the difference between their, they're, and there, as well as your and you're, and it really annoys me when other people use the wrong one. That said, sometimes my fingers just type the wrong one, or my phone autocorrects to a different one and I don't catch it, etc. Point is, everybody makes mistakes from time to time, so I try not to be critical about the occasional, lone mistake.

I am not even annoyed, it just makes me wonder why when I see it.
True, phone autocorrect might be one guilty party. Found another reason to dislike Apple  ;)

How to console a grammar Nazi:

Pat them on the back and say, "There, their, they're."

Haha! That's funny on so many levels! At the risk of over-explaining it:
1. It's wrong. (On purpose, right? Aka 1st level humor)
2. So trying to fix it leads to:
"There there, they're there." (Prev. unmentioned use of There, and their is not needed at all!)

How to console a grammar Nazi:

If Kelsey Grammer's grandmother taught English classes in Germany in the 1940's, does that make her a Grammer Nazi?

It's "Ours is the pizza place", not "Our", damnit!

-which also was what the picture's text said
when it used the not so subtle word "incorrect",
which actually was the very point of the rule.
But of course another rule was not to read this thread
in the first place. So where can we read it?
