FaRR not closing after launch

I had an SSD crash and had to reinstall all my stuff.  I had my FaRR settings backed up, so everything copied across, but now FaRR doesn't disappear when I launch something.  I could live with that, but it even leaves the typing in the window, so I have to delete that first before I can move on.

I've tried unchecking and then re-checking the "Close window by default" in the Window Options, but it didn't make any difference.  Any other ideas?

Have you upgraded to the latest version? Can you try that out?

Tried it with the latest High DPI version.  I've tried every perumtation of the Window Options and Launching Files options I can think of.  I swear it used to work fine, but I can't remember when it stopped working.  Using the portable version.

And you've checked the "Keyboard Interface" tab to make sure you aren't launching using a method that says to keep the window open?

And are you saying the behavior is predictable and repeatable? Or it just happens on rare random occasions?

This behavior always happens, on two computers (admittedly using the same FARR settings synced via dropbox), I've checked the keyboard interface tab - result hot keys are set to Launch.

I wonder if that could have something to do with it..

I've had FARR synced via dropbox for probably 8 years? It just means if theres a setting corruption, it's been synced between all my devices. 
I may just reinstall from scratch and see if that fixes things.

Found it!
After a few hours of testing - deleting the Timezone plugin fixes my problem.  *no* idea why that would be the case.

Good detective work!! That is very odd, it must be a simple misunderstanding in the timezone plugin that is telling FARR to stay open for some reason.

I'm having this same problem, without the Timezone plugin. In fact, I disabled all of my plugins, and it made no difference. I've checked all of my settings, and they're all set to close on launch.

Hmm.. I'm trying to think what could explain it.. I wonder if it's possible that one of the disabled plugins is still misbehaving?
Does the problem still happen if you exit and restart FARR?

I'm pretty sure I bounced it a few times before posting, but this weekend I bounced it for sure (I was trying, unsuccessfully , to point my home copy and my work copy at the same myaliases.alias file via DropBox), and the problem went away.
