Hope having 2 apps is acceptable. :-) I just started working on this and it's working well so far. It is a launcher (yes, another) for apps with tabs and will have a limited scripting language built in.

Really nice and simple.  Perhaps an "auto-hide after clicking an icon" option?

I do have an option to minimize when clicked. Would that work or do want it hidden and just an icon in the system tray?

Correct, just as an icon in the tray.  No reason to take up space as a taskbar button for an app such as this.

Can this thing dock to the screen?

I have been using JetToolbar, which is very similar, but the authour won't be contacted, and the app is getting pretty old.  It still works on Win7, but isn't portable.

If it docked, kind of like Desktop Corral, I might actually use it.  You should look at JetToolbar - it is the best tabbed launcher I have ever tried (I try them all, too).

It hasn't been updated since 2004!

One of the best things is that you can specify the command to run.  Anything you can run on a commandline can be run from the buttons on Jet Toolbar.  I also use an icon library (.icl) as the source for most icons.  It is drag and drop from Explorer to the toolbar to add an item.

Cons:
You can't rearrange icons by dragging.
You can't rearrange tabs by dragging.
You can't disable tooltips on the tabs (even though there are options).
There are no skins.

Specifically why exactly take it down? Because you don't believe in having a site when you are not working on a project? I'd think at least a "Hi. Sorry that this project is not being actively developed. But maybe you might want to check again in a year" type of placeholder page might work!

I would think ANYTHING is better than "page not found" which to me signals the worst of the web!

Years ago I did a study of free hosts, and I have a little space on tap, certainly enough to host a few random "parked project pages" for ex if y'all just do a re-direct.

Just sayin' as time creeps on, Page Not Found is a slowly growing disease!!
