MS AntiSpyware gets a big update
« on: March 06, 2006, 02:54 AM »
Haven't tried it yet but version 2 is now available (now called Windows Defender).

Scott Finnie's newsletter gives it a good review here: http://www.scotsnews...er.com/78.htm#60secs

The rest of this newsletter was quite interesting too (mostly Windows Vista related)

I've installed it on 2 machines so far and I haven't decided yet if I like it more or less than MSAS.  Its notification icon in the systray is really hard to notice.  I'd love to find an alternative (good) freeware Antispyware that worked like MSAS did.  I may have to suck it up and pay for something.

I meant pay for something else since I'm not sure on whether I like Defender or not yet.
