In another DC thread, Arizona Hot posted some examples of what he was able to do with InPaint.  His examples appear on page two of the thread, in two separate messages.

nice offer, hot on the heels of the recent v2.4 giveaway. so Curt, do you still stand by your conclusion that version 2 is much better? :)

InPaint v3.0

-no! Sorry that I haven't corrected my mistake! Version 3 is actually the better one. When I wrote the other thing, I was very disappointed with the new marker / selector in version 3.  I still am, but no longer "very". But the program has improved (though still a LONG way from what Photoshop users have demonstrated). The most important rule to know is, that it is of no use to think one can remove complicated areas in one go. It is vital to attack small well defined areas one by one - and to remember that the area from where the user want the program to copy, can (and often should) be changed.

I've never used Image Doctor, so I can't answer your question.  I do own InPaint and like it a lot.  Also, there was a review a few months ago by the Neat Net Tricks Software Review Panel, so you can get five users' views.
