A totally not-needed but cute option would be to be able to configure TenTimers and tell it how many of the 10 rows to show.  so that we could use it as 5 timers, etc.

You two-timing devil!

+ The number of timer pairs is configurable now.  Choose 'Configure > number of timers' from the menu.  (Thanks, mouser)
+ Added Alt-# hotkeys for the first ten countdown timers.
+ Added Alt-Shift-# hotkeys to reset the first ten countdown timers.
! Fixed the 'one-hour' bug on countdown timers.
! Fixed the ctrl-shift hotkeys.  (Thanks, Winkie)

BTW, you will probably need to delete any config.ini you have before running that latest version.

But, it's a pity that the review is about the initial version.  Although it may be hard to see from it's version number, the functionality of Ten Timer is improved significantly. 8) (Thanks again, Skwire!)

Great program!  I donated $5 to you via paypal from your dcmembers link.
I just had a couple of requests, if you are too busy or if they are too onerous to implement, no worries.

1. Is it possible to highlight currently active timers?  I have 20 timers each preset to a specific task, but not all of them are running.  It would be nice to have a color highlight timers that are currently running so I know what tasks are "cooking".
2. Is it possible to make the times editable from the main menu, instead of having to click the hammer and wrench icon?

Thanks again!  This app has already helped me a lot in keeping track of tasks.

Thanks very much.   :D

1. Sure.  Did you have anything in mind?
2. Sure, it's possible, but I think it would further clutter what is already a very cluttered interface.  I'd prefer to keep it the way it is.

Thanks again!  This app has already helped me a lot in keeping track of tasks.

You're welcome.  Thanks for the feedback.

Maybe green and then it switches to red once the time has counted down?  It would be nice, but not essential, if it's editable.

Thanks again!

What language do you program your apps in?  I've written some programs, but mostly with command line or html interfaces.

All of my applications are written in AutoHotkey.

The time in my first count-up timer flickers continually, but not in any of the other timers.
Does anybody else observe that? Thanks. Win7 x64.

Thanks for the report.  I can't recall it doing that in my older XP build but I can confirm it happens on my newer W7 build.  I'll see if I can figure out why and fix.

A bit of a surprise: ESC closes the timer. I don't think that's a benefit.
But at least it remembers the last time values when it is reopened

I know it's a personal preference thing but, if I had my way, that would be how every window would act.  I can take it out if you'd like.

I worked on this for several hours but I've come to the decision that, because of the way I initially designed the code to support a dynamic number of timers, fixing this issue will probably require a rewrite.  This is codespeak for, "Don't hold your breath."   :D :D :D  I've updated Ten Timer's webpage to state that it does work on Windows 7 with some graphical glitches.

It's fine to leave it as it is (unless you get 100 votes to take it out  ;) )
I know about it now, and as I said, there's no loss because it remembers the last time values.

No problem, and thanks for the effort and explanation. I'm sure you have more significant things to work on!

When TenTimer opens, the name of the first countup timer is highlighted. So it is easy to unintentionally overwrite the name by hitting any character key -- the more so if a user has learned to use space to start/stop a timer. Furthermore, this highlight doesn't serve a significant function because renaming would not be the default action.

Wish: Don't highlight the name. Thanks.
