new DVD-Creator: $9.95!

The listed normal price is merely $25, but at $10 this offer seems good to me.

The company is Daniusoft. I have their "remove-DRM"-converter, and I think they are okay without setting any new standards.

Hi,
Did you try it ?  I'd like to know if it reencodes MPEG2 DVD compliant files (which takes quite some time) or almost-compliant (for instance datarate too high / DVD std).  Most recent DVD players have no issue playing these DVD and it saves time.
Thanks.

No, it doesn't !  To give an example of what I meant : I record DVB-T shows on my PC with a Terratec USB receiver.  The result is a mpeg2 file.  To view it in the best possible way, I turn it into a DVD.  There, two scenario occur : either the DVD mastering software reencodes the mpeg2 file or it just processes it without re-encoding it.  In the first scenario, on my PC, DVD mastering takes 1 or 2 hours, in the second, only 10 minutes.  That's why re-encoding is an issue for me, if it occurs when it's not necessary.

Simple DVD Creator (freeware) would supposedly fall into scenario 2: it does not re-encode the mpeg2 file.

I don't really *know* if this info is correct, but it's worth a shot to save unnecessary re-encoding time.
