New version 3 ?

Hello Mouser,

I'm one of the enthousiastic users of this little proggie.

Now I read you are about to release a major upgrade.
Can you tell us when you expect to release this version or a beta of it ?

process tamer 3 is in the queue but right now it's behind find+run robot 2, which i've committed to release by our 1 year anniversary around mid march.

so expect PT3 either middle march if i get very ambitious and lucky, or middle-late april more likely.

however, i am happy to release more intermediate updates before then, so minor feature requests are welcome.

Some things I like to see in future versions are:

1. Foreground priority setting
2. Lower priorities of proggies that use more than x% CPU WHEN total CPU usage reaches above x%
3. Option to kill proggies that keep using more than x% CPU for more than x seconds

Maybe you could make a sticky for requests ?
I hope I'm not asking too much.

I really appreciate all the work already done!

coen99, if you don't mind entering your requests (one request each entry) in the bugtracker (see button at tom), it REALLY helps me keep track of them, and garantees i will not forget them.

all 3 you have requested are planned for v3.

i've actually been working on pt a little on the side while i've been coding other programs but i don't have a date estimate yet; i'll post an update by the end of march.  there will no doubt be a minor update or two by then, so if you have feature requests please post them.

Hi, I was just searching for a tool like this.
then I found your program, and it does exactly what I needed.
my voice recognition program is always overheating the CPU.
but since I've installed it, about one hour ago, everything is running smooth.
