Unless I'm missing something, it doesnt seem to be a Symantec utility - it's from "MT Solution Ltd."

Partition Wizard is not a Symanetc utility.  From the Partition Wizard website:

Partition Wizard is a  partition magic alternative. It allows home users, business users, and system administrators to easily perform partition operations safely and quickly. The Enhanced Data Protecting technology keeps your data safe even in cases of power outages or hardware failure.

That is not to say that there is any problem with Partition Wizard.  I just wanted to make sure people knew it is intended to compete with Symantec's offering: Partition Magic.

The business edition is licensed for legal use in a business setting. The home edition is not. 

That's a very significant difference for some of us.

I use to love Partition Magic until Symantec assimilated Power Quest - I just couldn't trust it after that.

I've been (happily) using Paragon HDM for awhile, but their Bootable CD tends to cry (and refuse to load) about Screen Resolution a bit too often (e.g. it burned me on-site once).

This certainly looks clean enough, so I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the tip.

I installed Partiton Wizard Home Edition. It's such a nice utility. It recovered twenty gb missing space from my hard disk (Disk in Windows Explorer was showing 60 gb). Business Edition is likely to be even better. Thanks for the post.

The business edition used to be free - not free "for a limited time" - back when I reviewed it. Seems the developer has done a 180 on that after the program has gained traction.

I don't have a problem with that. It's not a Free Software project.

Hmm...

1. give away free product
2. get customer feedback
3. debug and improve (repeat as necessary)
4. gain market recognition & reputation
5. start charging

Seems like a very smart way to market product to me.
