Problem with V2.09.09 - vertitcal color bars corrupt image
« on: January 12, 2006, 09:31 PM »
Just curious. I found this program on Softpedia.com, and it appears to be an amazing piece of work.

One problem; when I use the ALT-PRTSCN to capture the active window the first capture is perfect. Every subsequent capture however comes out all messed up. It has vertical lines all through it, no colour. The image is useless. If I unload the program and restart it, the first capture is fine again.

Any ideas?

Again, great job on this program. Truly amazing.

i have had a report about this vertical line problem once before.. it seems so random and rare... i will try to track it down - your clue about first capture being ok is useful.  if anyone has any other ideas let me know.

Not sure if this is relevant or not but...

I was trying to capture screens within the VB environment. I compiled the program and ran it without the VB GUI running and the screens all captured perfectly. Perhaps the VB GUI is somehow responsible for the problem capture.

Good luck.

i've *finally* found the cause of this strange vertical color bars problem (thanks db), and should have it fixed soon.

it has to do with a call to set brush color, which can occur when applying a simple black border, either directly or throught the new thumbnail creator.  there may be other cases where it is triggered as well.
