DBISAM error
« on: December 28, 2005, 01:56 AM »
When starting Clipboard Help+Spell I get "DBISAM Engine Error #8961 Header Information Corrupt ..."

Can anyone tell me what is wrong?  Is it a bug or is it my computer?

Thanks,

  - T

it sounds like something got currupted with the clip database..
is it a brand new install or has it suddently started happening with an old install?

can you check the system tray and make sure you haven't launched clipboard help+spell twice? - i noticed this can cause strange behavior.

I had uninstalled and then reinstalled using add/remove software control to try to rectify the problem, but this didn't help.  After reading your message about the possibility of database corruption, I ran add/remove software again but this time I manually removed the whole clipboard folder (and esp the dbase folder).  That seems to have solved the problem -- everything is working fine.
Hopefully it won't return...

Thanks for your comments/help,
