This might be something silly:

When tamer is "in action" the two sides of the equilibrium "light up". To make it even more evident, why not make the second ico as an unbalanced weight, with the two sides lit up.

Just an idea...

my plan with the next version is to allow user to customize 3 icons:

low cpu usage, high cpu usage, processes being tamed

then i can provide some defataults but user can use their own.
