Help. I get an error: could not be loaded by tinyxml lib - Error reading end tag

I like this application very much, it is a great idea.
I can edit items, but when trying to use them I get an error message:
"[...].itemxml Could not be loaded by tinyxml lib - Error reading end tag"

I am using Windows Vista.
What could be wrong? I am not a developer.

sounds like something might be wrong with the .itemxml data file -- try moving it out of the directory someplace else and see if program loads.

I put several screenshots. Sometimes the program obey, others no.
I would like to know the reason.

I think I solved but I don't know why or how.

I move the files from the folder UserItemDefs to another place.
The problem continues
I don't understand why if I open a new created file continues the example files with categories and points definition.

And i can't modify or delete an item.

What am I doing wrong ?

I try the program in 2008.
One error I detected was :

Are the categories common to all profiles ?

I got delete the item in the editor, not directly.

The first try to solve the problem about no interaction I move the files according to the instructions given, but I don't get the editor correct.
Just now hardly remember but I think have to do special manipulation.
When I create the new profile pepe.05.2012 the only thing created was the log file, not the new profile.
And when try to save the initial intention is save the log file, not the profile.
So I have to rename the extension to get the target.
I'll try with the help to understand what i am doing bad now, and in 2008.

It seems that the new profile have access to the prior categories, but the itemxml don't contain.

Reload and Rescan all item definition files seems oriented to collects all categories from the different profiles.
There is a module to clone a item.
The program seems complicated.
In the help I think that the example file is common to all. And my profile is only for me.
From any profile the general categories are accesible and modificable.

In the about option from the icon windows tray the version is correct : v1.08.01
