display result problem

when i search with farr it's not change the windows size to fit the results in. i need to do it manually, resize the window

can you post a screenshot of your settings by going to Options > Settings > Display Options along with your OS & Farr version? that will give a better clue as to why it's not working..

you've got your max results all set to 1.. i've never seen that before.. usually you want at least 9.

question: when you say it's not changing the window size -- do you mean horizontally?

I'm sorry to say that FARR does not have the ability to auto-resize horizontally, only vertically.

go to Options > Settings > Display Options

set max entries to display in normal result list to 20
set max entries to display in extended result list to 40 or 50
set max size to grow result window to 10

it will resize automatically. period. you can just specify maximum height (in rows) with the max size to grow result window
