SC Folder window popping up after screenshot
« on: March 05, 2009, 03:54 AM »
I updated SC to the latest version yesterday, and today (after waking my PC from sleep) it started to behave strangely. After every screenshot a window is opened automatically showing the SC install directory (in my case it's "D:\Program Files\ScreenshotCaptor").

Have I accidentally set an option to do this?

Or is it because I set my PC to sleep?

Or is it because I set the default screenshot folder to a network drive? (I don't think so, because yesterday it worked).

i'm hard pressed to think why it would do this, except maybe you've configured it to launch something post capture that it can't find?

if you can't figure out the culprit, exit SC, backup your ScreenshotCaptor.ini file and then restart to reset default options.  then compare your old versus new settings .ini files to figure out what it was.

mouser, I love you!

Yes, that is exactly what happened, yesterday I was thinking about trying out this option, clicked it, and then proceeded to do something else and forgot :-)

Btw, maybe you should rename this option from "Launch External Editor" to "Launch External Application" or similar.

I didn't have the idea to use a command line utility for resizing and uploading until my brain had translated "Editor" to "any executable, ideally one that processes command line parameters"
