Copy protection FAILs :(
« on: December 26, 2008, 08:27 AM »
I made a backup copy of my (legit) copy of Crash Bash, and when decided to play it on PSXfin (someone was watching TV, heh) I was greeted with this nice screen.

Anyone minds decrypting the text?
(note, ePSXe runs the game fine)

You had me for a moment there with the "PSXfin" name (the official name is "pSX").

Basically, the screen says you're a filthy little pirate ;). But it's fixable (search for "Crash Bash"). More.

Thanks a bunch Lash... I didn't knew it was modchip protected... Also... why does it run on my console then?

Because either you don't have a modchip on the console or it does not detect the one you have.

The console is chipped. Anyways, I think I'm gonna share my joy!
