IDEA: Prevent Screensaver from Stopping
« on: October 25, 2008, 07:23 AM »
I would like to prevent a screensaver from stopping, until the 'Esc' key (configurable) is pressed
i.e. no other key press or mouse movement stops the screensaver
I hope this is not difficult  ;)

I was unsure if this request needed a new post, since I saw a similar topic here:
https://www.donation...ex.php?topic=13666.0
But, finally decided to post afresh

Thanks in advance :)

UPDATE:
I just saw similar options in Dimsaver by Skrommel, under the 'Actions' tab of it's settings.
I am looking for a similar feature for all screensavers..

Just so I understand, are you trying to prevent someone from accessing your computer while you are away from it for a short period of time and the screensaver is activated?

Not really; I need it..
> to have access to some global keyboard shortcuts, without disturbing the screensaver
> to disable (partially) keyboard and mouse, temporarily
> to avoid screensaver being stopped inadvertantly.. I use a slideshow screensaver (mentioned here) to show photos to some naughty kids who are very fond of pressing keys and moving the mouse
 ;D
This is possible with the options in Dimsaver
Also, it would be better instead, to be able to configure the exact key combination or mouse action to stop the screensaver.
