I havent seen this error before. Can you tell me if you have an ico called GooglePlus.ico in your Farr\plugins\GooglePlus\icons folder? Also when do you get this error when you try and open the GooglePlus options dialog or when you click on the plugins button?

Yes, I have an icon file called GooglePlus.ico in the GooglePlus folder. I get that error when I click on the plugins button, then on 'Click on Examine and Conf Plugins' button and next on 'Configure Advanced Plugin Options' button.

Based on your screenshot above it seems that during install there was no icon folder created and instead they are all in the GooglePlus folder. Please re-install the plugin from the first post in this thread. You can overwrite the existing installation but after install most of your icons should be in C:\Program Files\FindAndRunRobot\Plugins\GooglePlus\icons\. That should do it.

Dimsy: are you launching farr from a shortcut?
Could you try launching farr from its icon in the program files, and see if you get the same error?

Dimsy after reinstalling the plugin do you have an "icon" folder in your C:\Program Files\FindAndRunRobot\Plugins\GooglePlus\ folder? If not then make sure when you are extracting the zip file you check the option to keep the directory structure within the zip file or a similar option.

I tried and quite liked this new plugin but I am a bit worried about the fact that Trojan Hunter found that your plugin is infected by a worm file. What this is all about? :

I think settings.exe is small autohotkey utility which presents an options dialog to the user.

And like many autohotkey programs, infuiratingly, the stupid antivirus programs seem to regularly, repeatedly, and inexcusably, give false positives.

Correct. Settings.exe is a autohokey script converted into an exe by Autohotkey.

s.newave, this is a fantastic plugin, it's exactly what I was looking for.

Sorry for my ignorance, but one service I wish was there is missing: the desktop search service (GDS), does anyone around here know how to query the google desktop search engine and parse it for the FARR plugin?

No matter what's the answer, it's still agreat plugin!

Hope this doesn't stay as a stall message at the end of the topic :-)

GSz, thx for kind words. GooglePlus is based on their web api which is different from gds which is not supported. I am hoping to release a new version soon which has some minor updates however for a similar gds solution i would recommend Vrokolos's great Everything plugin.

excellent plugin!
but i have to criticise one thing: if i do a web search and i press CTRL+# the web adress is entered in the edit box instead of being launched. Would be nice to fix that

i know it doesnt fit in here but one more: i could not make the hotkey work to enter # into edit box. it doesnt work, no matter if i choose ctrl+# or alt+#

s.newave: some characters like ampersand aren't being 'escaped' properly. e.g. a search for 'Black & White: Creature Isle' only returns 'Black'. just a heads-up.

every time i try google plus again it blows my mind more than the last time.. it's just so amazing that i think my brain refuses to remember all it can do.

if you have a fast web connection, this plugin really can change the nature of the way you search the web.

form the error message, it may be due to a non-existent or corrupt Windows Script Host. try installing the newer version. the download link is as below..
