Is "Launch and stay open" broken?
« on: April 07, 2008, 12:52 AM »
pursuant to this thread here, i was working on AHK-based solution when i realised that on my PC, Farr would not launch & stay open. i had tried the hotkey, context-menu and also used the mouse but to no avail.

does this settings have anything to do with this problem?

For me choosing Launch and Open from the context menu does not work either.

That's weird, it works here, both from hotkey and context menu.

Works fine here, but I recall it failed sometimes in the past.

i've reset all options to the default and it works partially. the hotkey (Shift+Enter, Shift+LMB) fails to keep Farr open but the context-menu works fine.

Just wanted to say that "Launch and stay open" doesn't work here either. I've tried different shortcuts, etc.
[EDIT : it doesn't work whether I'm using the context menu option, or a chosen keyboard shortcut -- like ctrl+alt+#]

for me this works:
ctrl+left click
ctrl+#   (where # is a number in the result list)
via context menu

does not work:
shift+enter, control+enter  (one of those is supposed to work, right?)

hmmmm.... i'm curious -- where do you get the option to have "Launch and stay open" assigned to "ctrl+left click" ?

the problem was caused a buggy plugin. check this thread.

Thanks Lanux... Now I know why I had disabled FarrAltTab...!
Re-enabled it a few weeks ago thinking "Why did I disable this...? Works fine...".
 :)

Weirdly, ctrl-alt-enter works fine. Only "Launch and stay open" is affected.

So did you just give up on farrAltTab?
