hmm that is really strange.. nview.dll is an nvidia graphics card utility and i've used process tamer myself on a computer with that without error.

what operating system?  it happens as soon as process tamer tray utility starts?

i wonder if it's possible there is some sort of conflict -- it's hard to know of its nview at fault or process tamer, without more clues.. can you try to see if you can disable nview features and see if that stops the error.

anyone else have any ideas?

Ok so disabled NVIEW.DLL from startup and still get the same error.  Here are some more details.

WINXP Pro

Only difference between this laptop and the others is that it has the Nvidia Quadro NVS 140M video card instead of the standard Nvidia cards.

Going to remove ProcessTamer and re-install just to make sure.

Error is immediate and re-installing did not help.

Tried a bunch of things and nada.  For testing purposes I'm going to nuke the partition (since I have a completely up to date image of the laptop and one with just the base XP install I keep for testing) and see if that works.

I also tried Process Lasso and that seems to work fine.
