a nice website with a collection of stories with Oriental wisdom, mostly derived from Zen and Taoist fables.

I'm working my way through those
some very good!
Empty Your Cup

A university professor went to visit a famous Zen master. While the master quietly served tea, the professor talked about Zen. The master poured the visitor's cup to the brim, and then kept pouring. The professor watched the overflowing cup until he could no longer restrain himself. "It's overfull! No more will go in!" the professor blurted. "You are like this cup," the master replied, "How can I show you Zen unless you first empty your cup."
I love that one, can you imagine doing that to some visitor who talks too much!
["I was hypnotised by your tone :P"]

the comments I found a bit insipid until I read a story about a master cutting off a boys finger - that got them going :)
reminds me of a grimm's brothers story about a boy and a fox that helped him & each time he helped him the fox wanted a leg cut off...
must see can I find it again - it stuck in my mind, but somehow it also made sense
(without logic, but then whoever proved logic made the most sense...)
