plugin problems
« on: November 21, 2007, 02:43 AM »
For some time my plugins do not work any more, especially the keyboard shortcuts, like for example "loc" for locate, as per the snapshot

Hi,

I also have problems with latest FARR and its plugins, particularly FarrFox.
It doesn't work, even tough it is correctly installed. I have already tried to
uninstall/install again, but the problem remains.

Regards,
Alex

it's hard for me to see what's going on without more information.
you will have to close the options and specify some text to search for to use with the loc alias.

i'll have an update in next day or so -- let's see if that fixes it.

I'm not sure if this will help.

Maybe there is a problem with locate.exe version 3.0.7.11040.
I have similar problem with Total Commander plug-in
(http://www.ghisler.c...p;highlight=locate32)
which stops working. When I changed locate.exe with locate.exe version 3.0.7.9220 it works again.

What could be the reason that on one of my XP machines FarrFox doesn't work?
I have the latest FARR and FarrFox v. 1.03.01.

I am pretty sure it is the problem Mouser mentioned. FarrFox is the only plugin that uses regular expressions for matching and it also has a keyword, it matches exactly the problem I was having.
