the five and ten-day forecasts come from a different part of the Yahoo ecosystem, so that's just how it is
I'm not using the 10 day forecast usually and I seem to be the only one not seeing day 6-10 (I've turned it back off already). Your explanation would suggests it's blocked by our network security because of the different url involved. No problem for me.

Looks like it's fixed then

General Software Discussion / Re: Windows 10 Announced
« Last post by Ath on March 10, 2016, 05:33 AM »
Before I allow the Win10 update to install on the Compaq, I thought I'd ask members on this forum of their experiences with making that change.
...
As it stands, the Compaq runs very nicely under Win7 HP, even before the last extra 1Gb RAM has been added.
I'd suggest to take the plunge, and see how performance holds up after the upgrade. If it's too poor, you can always revert within the first 30 days.
Do make a proper disk-image backup before starting ofc. but you knew that already

Fixed (again?) off-by-one date in the extended forecasts
Not sure what happened, but it's now off with 1.5 day, I think:

Screenshot - 03-03-2016 , 08_30_50.png

I chose Codyville as it's the demo-location included with sWeather, but it's 6 hours behind my location's time.
Now the forecast days are different, even though on both locations it's Thursday, March 3rd.

Unforunately i tried that, the program shows as unregisters.
Could it be that it shows as unregistered because it can't reach the home-base server? That would be one of several ways I'd code a software licensing system, if I was asked... :o

Now that I'm at home and have updated sWeather, it is showing day 6-10 here (probably a networking issue at work, again :(), but the dates in the forecast are off by 1 day, as reported before. Maybe related to time-zone? I'm at GMT+1.

Ath dose v1.5.6 - 2016-02-29  work for you ?
Except for the issues I reported above, but the empty 6-10'th forecast also was in the previous version. Most likely a Yahoo issue, IMHO.

And do you close the old version snd install the new version ?
You will have to, as Windows won't allow you to overwrite a running executable.

Fixed off-by-one date in the extended forecasts
Hm, for me that's not actually the case, it was displaying correctly before, but now it's off by one:

Screenshot - 29-02-2016 , 11_26_30.png

And day 6-10 are not shown. For any pre-configured location I've tried.

Ath I am using Windows 10 when I enable the 10  day extended forecast and turn on the "Show dates in extended forecast" It is displaying the incorrect dates. The date for each day are one day forward,  I went back to my default of 5 days forecast same thing  is theirswe fix please get back to me

As I said in reply to your PM, I'm not the developer of sWeather, just a user. Please have a little patience with us, we're all volunteers on a free forum, providing free software and services, and a lot of us have a job and/or a life besides the forum :tellme:

I do find that the Yahoo weather service that sWeather is using, is quite flakey, again. :'(
When I tried the 10 day forecast, it didn't even show data for day 6 - 10, so I went back to my default of 5 days forecast. :o

Developer's Corner / Re: Dice analyzer machine project

the camera on the Raspberry Pi, while high resolution, has absolutely no focus control and would not focus well on anything shorter than about 24 inches from it
This page on eLinux.org list a lot of (usb) cameras that are tested with the RPi, but I don't know if they are compatible with the python libraries you've used. Some of them will have better focus control, and you might even own one of them listed ;)
It's not going to enhance the (lack of) processing-speed of the RPi, though

I have ordered raspberry pi and motor control hat and ...
Why didn't you use that motor control hat to turn on the dice-roller? Or doesn't it have a relay for switching something external? (probably depends on the model, but a separate relay-hat isn't that expensive) Your python code on the RPi can then directly control the dice-roller without further external devices.

I think you should have a look at Mouser's CHS (Clipboard Help + Spell) for processing your copy/paste content and/or Web Link Captor (WLC) for performing your searches and formatting the output as desired.

Does the router have an odd firewall rule that prohibits access to the Office 365 mail server?
Does the provider block access to that url? (next question could shed light on that)
Can Office 365 be accessed from a web-browser?
Does she have an entry in the hosts file blocking/redirecting Office 365 url's?

I was trying to persuade myself into buying a cheap Win-phone, to compare the experience to my Android (personal) and iOs (work) phones, but this story increased the downside with another mile or so, so it'll take a lot of upside points to compensate again :o

This version works pretty good too.
Not if a path is prepended to the filename... :o

Standard Windows MDI doesn't allow that.
Only application frameworks that explicitly support that, as used in some office applications and recent Visual Studio editions, can have their windows pulled out of the main frame. Then pulling it out is usually the easiest way to do it, as you'll want to position it somewhere specific.
